Creating and configuring an OpenEdge database server

You can also create and configure an OpenEdge database server.

To use OpenEdge features with a server:

In Windows operating systems, from the desktop, choose Start Programs Administrative Tools Services. Verify that the status for the AdminService for OpenEdge Release 10.1A, is Started.
Note: If Administrative Tools is not available, right-click from the Task Bar. Choose Properties, then select the Advanced tab. Select the Display Administrative Tools check box, then choose OK.
Use the Progress Explorer to add a database configuration.
